30 minJust four ingredients stand between you and a batch of these light, crispy date macaroons.
Whipped egg whites give them their delicate, airy structure while chopped dates and nuts provide all the flavor and chew you could want.
No flour means they’re naturally gluten-free, which makes them a smart addition to any holiday cookie spread.
Drop them by teaspoons and bake low and slow until they turn a gorgeous golden brown.
Kitchen Tips
- Beat egg whites until they hold stiff, dry peaks before folding in the other ingredients
- Let them cool completely on the pan before removing; they’re fragile while warm
- These keep well in an airtight tin for up to a week
