75 minSomewhere between a granola bar and a crumble, these yogurt bars hit a sweet spot that works for breakfast, snack time, or a lunchbox treat.
A cinnamon-spiced bran flake crumble gets pressed into the bottom of the pan, topped with a creamy strawberry yogurt filling, then covered with more of that buttery crumble. Baked until golden, they come out with crunchy edges and a soft, tangy center.
The batch makes two dozen bars from a single 8-inch pan, so you’ll have plenty to stash in the fridge for the week ahead.
Kitchen Tips
- Press the bottom crumble layer firmly and evenly into the pan. A loose base means crumbly bars that fall apart.
- Let them cool completely in the pan before cutting. The yogurt filling needs time to set or you’ll end up with a sticky mess.
- Try different yogurt flavours like blueberry, peach, or vanilla for easy variations without changing anything else
- Swap the margarine for butter if you want a richer, more golden crumble with deeper flavour
