10 minFive minutes of stirring and you’ve got a pan of rich, nutty chocolate fudge cooling on the counter. That’s it.
Evaporated milk, sugar, and salt get boiled together for just a few minutes, then the heat comes off and chocolate chips, marshmallows, vanilla, and nuts get stirred in until everything melts into a thick, glossy mass.
Pour it into a buttered pan, let it set, and try not to eat the whole batch in one sitting.
This is the kind of no-fuss candy recipe that belongs in every home cook’s back pocket, especially during the holidays when you need treats fast.
Kitchen Tips
- Start timing the boil when you see bubbles forming around the edges of the pan, not from the center
- Stir constantly during the boil. Walk away for even 30 seconds and the sugar can scorch on the bottom
- Stir vigorously after adding the chocolate and marshmallows. You want the marshmallows fully melted with no white streaks
- Walnuts or pecans both work great here. Toast them first for deeper flavor
Ingredients

Cool until it doesn’t fall out or slosh around in pan. Eat!
