45 minThis comforting chicken dish starts with breasts that get dipped in egg, coated in seasoned flour with paprika and poultry seasoning, then pan-fried until golden.
After browning, the chicken simmers gently in a light lemon-chicken broth sauce that keeps everything moist and infuses citrus flavor into every bite.
The sauce thickens with leftover flour mixture into a silky gravy, then gets finished with toasted sesame seeds sprinkled over the top for nutty crunch.
Serve over rice or noodles to soak up every drop of that lemony pan sauce.
Chef Tips
- Pat chicken completely dry before breading so the coating adheres better and browns evenly
- Don’t skip toasting the sesame seeds, it brings out their nutty flavor and prevents raw taste
- Keep the simmer gentle (not boiling) to prevent the chicken from toughening
