You need exactly three ingredients and a roasting pan. That’s it.

Cranberry sauce and maple syrup get whisked into a glossy glaze, then basted over a fully-cooked boneless ham during the last 45 minutes in the oven. The result is a burnished, sticky-sweet crust with just enough tartness to keep things interesting.

Feeds 24, which means it’s built for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, or any gathering where you want a showstopper without spending all day in the kitchen.

Pro Tips

  • Use whole berry cranberry sauce for more texture in the glaze, or jellied for a smoother coat.
  • Baste every 15 minutes during that final stretch for maximum glaze buildup.
  • Score the ham in a diamond pattern before glazing so the sauce seeps into every crevice.
  • Let the ham rest 15 minutes before carving so the juices redistribute.
